Paint by Dumbers

From the beginning…

whenever i was in high school, i had an assignment to write down my life goals. they were: to have sex in a canoe, to own a 1967 pontiac gto, and to make one person’s day brighter.  i’m 0 for the first 2, but i started paint by dumbers in 2015 or so in the hopes that it can make one person’s day just a little bit better.
 
i use microsoft paint.net and my trusty mouse to create groan-worthy puns, wordplays, and silly illustrations that I share via a growing email distribution list, facebook, vendor fairs, and now (drumroll please...) this website!
 
my creations, which are matted prints, greeting cards, and stickers, often feature dinosaurs, food, misheard song lyrics, snuggly woodland animals (like porcupines), and are all intended to spark joy.  they give the viewer an opportunity to harken back to their own childhood, to roll their eyes at a dad joke, to laugh at a unique perspective and then share that laughter with someone else.  
 
i am inspired by the opportunity to share joy and humor with other people.  the more i can get my art out into the community, the better chance i have of brightening people’s days. 

and… the better chance I have of buying a gto. or a canoe…
